Build Grades

 

There are three build grades that I use most often:  Signature, Stream, and Perfection. When you read the descriptions please keep in mind the reel seat options, flor grade cork, Snake brand guides, silk threads, rod bag, alignment dots and finish are all the same. The only things that differ are (1) stripping guide option and (2) a silk tipping option.

Signature Grade. 

Rods are wrapped in silk, with tipping at winding check and ferrules. The stripping guide is Fuji or Snake brand.

Stream Grade.

Rods are wrapped in silk, with tipping at all guides, ferrules and winding check. The stripping guide is Mildrum/carbide or titanium stripping guide.


Perfection Grade.

Rods are wrapped in silk, with tipping at all guides, ferrules and winding check. The stripping guide is an agate ring set in nickel silver.

Up Charge items.

There are some things that I have to charge extra for, either because of extra cost in making or extra labor. Please find the list below.

- Stacked bamboo reel seat - Add $60

- Rattan reel seat - Add $60

- Rattan grip - Add $100

- Cork mortised seats - Add $40

- Double agate stripping guides  - Add $25
